Democracy’s leading reputation in the digital marketing space has been recognised by the Big Chip Awards, which has given us two nominations in its 2016 shortlist.
Big Chip, the UK’s longest-running digital awards and the biggest outside of London, has shortlisted Democracy for our work with CORGI HomePlan.
The nominations have come in the categories of Best Use Of Content Marketing and Best Digital Marketing Campaign.
This is further industry recognition of the innovative and results-focused work we have been carrying out with CORGI HomePlan. This has also seen Democracy gather nominations in the UK Search Awards, European Search Awards, CIPR Excellence Awards and Northern Digital Awards.
Democracy considers what awards to enter very carefully indeed – it’s the easiest thing in the world to have a shelf full of meaningless prizes – and to receive recognition from our peers is a great honour. It also reflects incredibly well on our client CORGI HomePlan, for the trust they placed in us to deliver for them.
Looking at some of the names we are up against in The Big Chip shows the strength of these awards – Jet2, Turtle Wax, MBNA, Manchester Ship Canal.
Big Chip is considered the most prestigious awards for the industry, organised by Manchester Digital, and has an unrivalled reputation for judging consistency and integrity.
The awards are judged by a panel of industry experts from across the north, including chair Alasdair Scott of C3, BBC journalist Bill Thompson, Herb Kim from Thinking Digital and David Kreps of Salford University.
Al Scott, chair of the judges, says: “The judges have again been overwhelmed by the quality of the entries this year – whittling them down to even 88 was a big challenge.
“The scope work we have seen this year has been even more innovative and creative than ever. From great examples of user experience and animation, through to innovative not-for-profit projects and clever content marketing, it is clear to see just how much can change and progress in the industry in just 12 months.”
The awards will be presented on June 23 at Manchester’s Midland Hotel. Fingers crossed…
