Twitter confirms it is working on an edit button

After years of it being the most requested upgrade and repeated rebuffs from the platform itself, Twitter has confirmed it is working on an edit button following on from a tweet from new board member, Elon Musk.

Musk took to Twitter this week with a poll asking users if they want an edit button. Around three quarters of the four million votes were in favour of the feature. Shortly afterwards, Twitter confirmed it is working on the feature.

In the past, Twitter has resisted calls for this, with the company citing concerns around users changing the meaning of posts after the fact. However, the feature is already available on many other platforms such as Facebook and Instagram.

You can now share reels from third party apps to Facebook Reels

Facebook is adding the ability to post Reels from third-party apps. The new integration feature ‘Sharing to Reels’ will make it easy for developers to allow people to share videos from multiple apps.

As part of the launch announcement, Meta revealed that several of its partners, including Smule, Vita and VivaVideo have already integrated the feature. Developers who are interested in adding the feature to their apps, can learn more about the set-up process on a newly published blog.

The company says the new feature will help people reach new audiences on Facebook and builds on its ‘Sharing to Stories’ feature, which allows developers to enable users to share content to Facebook Stories directly from third-party apps.
