WhatsApp reveals plans for business subscription service

WhatsApp has revealed more detail about its upcoming subscription plan that will help businesses communicate with customers on their app.

The paid features, which are aimed primarily at small businesses, will include the ability to manage chats across up to 10 devices and generate customisable click-to-chat links that companies can post on their websites and share with customers.

Having up to 10 devices on one profile is ideal for businesses with small customer service teams, while the customisable link options will help with memorability and add professionality to a WhatsApp profile.

Snapchat partners with eBay with new integration features

Snapchatters can now share listings from eBay directly via the Snapchat camera following an integration between the social media platform and the ecommerce site.

The integration enables users to share listings on eBay. This can be used by sellers who want to showcase their listings across platforms with their community or anyone who wants to directly share items they are interested in with their friends on the app.

This is another step towards expanded ecommerce for Snap along with its shopping AR tools, shoppable Bitmoji clothing items, and previous partnership with Amazon to display product listings. Each small step helps to build more habitual shopping behaviours in the app.
