Throughout March 2021, Wellfest featured 110 virtual feelgood workshops - with a cross section of activities designed to meet the unique needs of every colleague. Activities were held in seven virtual, themed ‘tents’, bringing together celebrated external speakers and subject matter experts from within the business.

Democracy worked in partnership with the AkzoNobel team to build the virtual festival, making the experience as accessible as possible - with an easy to access Teams platform, an Eventbrite booking system, content delivered at different times of the day/week to allow for shift patterns, and on-demand functionality for catch-up.

Wellfest was promoted through a range of pre-existing comms channels - from digital to onsite posters with QR codes - to ensure that everyone from senior management to factory floor could engage.
