BRIEF AND APPROACH

THE CHALLENGE

Hydrotreated vegetable oil (HVO) is a diesel alternative that can reduce carbon emissions by up to 90% immediately. Democracy client Certas Energy is the UK’s leading supplier of this liquid renewable fuel.

Our brief was for an ongoing awareness campaign to educate and debunk the myths surrounding HVO, increase Certas Energy’s media share of voice and reach customers across multiple sectors to support their transition to net zero. We used PR, organic and paid social to achieve this.

OUR SUPER-CHARGED RESPONSE

We utilised a traditional always on PR approach and leveraged organic and paid social media to create a multi-channel awareness campaign.

This included briefing and supporting at trade events, organising journalist interviews, landing thought leadership features, creating organic social content and amplifying this to existing and potential customers.

The goal was to highlight the reliability of Certas Energy, debunk common misconceptions about HVO and raise awareness of the environmental impact the liquid renewable has.
