Lauren Veevers - News editor

Lauren’s background is in journalism. After nearly 14 years as a reporter working on various national newspapers she came to Democracy as News Editor.

With a Ba (Hons) degree in journalism her first job was at the Independent on Sunday before she turned her hand to covering daily news and real-life features with a Manchester press agency.

After a brief spell freelancing for national newspapers including the Daily Mail, Mail on Sunday, Daily Mirror, Daily Star, the Sun and the News of the World, she started a staff job at the Sun.

Her role as reporter in the Manchester office saw her covering breaking news, exclusives, features, court cases and human interest stories from around the North West.

She’s now bringing her news background into the team at Democracy to help us secure national coverage for our clients.

Lauren started in April and has been using her killer news instinct to deliver the best outcomes for all our clients.

Favourite moment: Securing more than five pieces of national coverage in a single day for Cuprinol's Shed of the Year campaign, including the Telegraph, the Guardian and the Daily Express.
